George Goes Home To Prepare For Show Season!

Sending horses home is always a time of mixed emotions for me.  I’m absolutely thrilled when they get well and can go home and get back to work because that’s why we’re here!  However, we do get attached and tend to miss them when they "graduate" from our care and go home!  This month we said farewell to “George” after a four-month stay to finish his recovery from an elbow fracture.

George came to AER in July for assistance and care recovering from an elbow fracture.  His owners did a phenomenal job with the first stages of his healing and recovery- but needed a break from the stress of having to care for a controlled exercise horse seven days a week.

George went back to work as his young owner's jumper and they are aiming for a return to the show ring by the end of the season.  We wish them well!
