Dark Star Farm is a private equine facility located on over three hundred tranquil acres in Franktown, just fifteen minutes from Colorado Horse Park. There is an interesting energy at Dark Star that seems to lend both a calming and healing effect to our horses.

The care provided at Dark Star Farm is exceptional and this quality of care is an integral part of successfully rehabilitating horses from injury, illness or surgery.

All stalls and runs are situated such that horses can always see one another, an important factor in keeping horses on stall rest quiet. A customized feeding program is developed for each horse under Acadia Equine Rehabilitation’s care, and water consumption is carefully monitored around the clock. We believe that the quality of this facility and the care provided here make Dark Star Farm the best possible location for Acadia Equine Rehabilitation. 

Dark Star Farm is located an easy thirty miles from Littleton Large Animal Hospital, and one hundred miles from Colorado State University if surgical facilities or further diagnostics are required.

• 12 x 12 box stalls with optional 12x40 runs
• 72 x 175 indoor with Nike/sand footing
• Round pen and 100 x 200 outdoor sand arena
• Three feedings/day of high quality grass hay
• Stalls/runs cleaned three times/ day
• Heated treatment area
• Farrier Bay
• Safe areas to hand graze horses that are on restricted exercise
• Night checks by qualified, onsite resident
• Observation stall for horses requiring around the clock monitoring
• Optional shortened runs, customized per veterinarian prescription (12x12 box stall plus minimum 12x12 run for example)
• Cross tie bay right next to box stalls for horses on extremely restricted movement for bandage changes, ect.
